Mia Dang is a New York-based creative and filmmaker who aims to rekindle a sense of childlike wonder and magic for people of all ages. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of NYU Tisch, she completed her BFA in Film and TV Production early in January 2026, alongside a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies.
Focused entirely on music video direction and commercial short-form work, Mia uses her background in developmental psychology to create vibrant visuals that make people truly feel. At NYU, she adopted a rigorous, hands-on approach by directing, designing, animating, and editing the entirety of her own projects. This end-to-end involvement allows her to blend commercial needs with a tactile visual language, using everything from digital tools to paper, scissors, and scanners to give a concept its spark. She is currently seeking junior creative roles and ready to work with a smile.
Off the clock, Mia is a lover of all things tactile and cozy. You can usually find her knitting, cooking, or lost in an arts and crafts project. She finds her best inspiration when surrounded by her materials, and she’s learned that the fastest way to her heart is some soft yarn, even softer pajamas, and a heating pad 🛀
